A simple moxa practice for cold feet
Cold feet are not merely a cosmetic nuisance. They are a message — the circulation that should reach the furthest points is running short of fuel, or courage, or both.
What you'll need
A moxa stick (rolled, not loose). A ceramic bowl or small dish. A wet tea towel within reach. That is all.
The practice
Light the moxa stick. Hold it, lit end down, about 3–4 cm above the sole of the foot — the point called Yongquan (湧泉), at the dip just behind the pads. You'll feel the warmth before you feel any heat.
Move the stick in small slow circles over that point for 3–4 minutes, then switch feet. Fifteen minutes total, twice a week.
Stop immediately if you feel a sharp burning — the skin is asking you to lift higher, not closer.
After two weeks of consistent practice, most people notice their feet warm earlier into the evening. If not, come in and we'll adjust.
